Roland Supernatural Technology For Digital Pianos
Here’s an interesting video on the Roland Super Natural Technology they use for digital pianos.
It explains what it is and why it’s different to other technologies.
The difference is:
1. 88 key sample instead of sample zones so each note is sampled instead of a selected series of notes
2. Sound engine technology across the entire range of loudness, instead of 4 samples so no abrupt change in tone with dynamic ranges, to sound more natural
3. Smooth, natural decay for tones instead of looped, so no loop area
The technology is used in:
Roland FP 7F
Roland LX 10F
Roland HP series
Roland HPi series
Roland DP990RF and DP990F
Roland RD 700NX
